When you create an account, we collect your email address and payment information (processed securely through Stripe). We do not store your full payment details on our servers.

We collect anonymous usage data to improve Cliio, including:

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• Your AI conversations or terminal content
• Your code or project files
• Your API keys or credentials
• Any data processed by your AI CLI tools

All AI interactions happen directly between your machine and the AI provider (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, etc.). Cliio is simply a terminal interface.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Cliio service
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Send important updates about your account or the service
• Improve and optimize the application
• Respond to support requests

Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Stripe for payment processing, which is PCI-DSS compliant.

Session data and agent configurations are stored locally on your machine. We do not sync this data to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync (available on Team plans).

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — Payment processing
• Plausible Analytics — Privacy-focused website analytics (no cookies)

Each AI CLI tool you use (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI) has its own privacy policy. Please review those policies for information about how your AI conversations are handled.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Opt out of marketing communications

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Children's Privacy

Cliio is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or through the application.
